Counselling for Stress in Congleton

Do you feel like you're constantly running on empty, or that stress from work or home life has built up to a point where it's affecting your wellbeing? Stress can creep up gradually, and it's not always easy to see how much it's taking from you until it feels overwhelming.

I offer person-centred counselling in Congleton and online, for people who want space away from the pressures of daily life to think, feel and be heard. This means we cultivate an equal relationship: no one else can be the expert of your life but you. You lead the direction of each session.

When stress counselling might help

Stress often shows up as a general sense of being stretched too thin: snapping at people you don't mean to, struggling to switch off in the evening, or feeling like there's never quite enough of you to go around. It might be tied to a demanding job, a change you didn't choose, caring responsibilities, or simply too much happening at once for too long. You don't need to be at breaking point to find it useful to talk; sometimes it's enough to notice you've stopped feeling like yourself.

How counselling can help with stress

Together we can explore what's contributing to your stress, whether that's work pressure, changes in your life, or feeling pulled in too many directions at once. Counselling offers a confidential space to slow down, understand your own needs and boundaries, and consider what might help you feel more like yourself again.

Face-to-face and online sessions

Sessions take place face-to-face in Congleton or online, whichever fits better around your work and life. Each session lasts one hour. I also offer a free 20-minute telephone or online consultation before we begin, so we can talk through what's bringing you to counselling and how we might work together.

Face-to-face sessions are £45, and online sessions are £40. You can find out more on my prices page.
