Menopause Counselling in Congleton

Menopause and perimenopause can affect far more than the physical symptoms often talked about. Many people find it also brings changes to mood, confidence, relationships and sense of self, and it isn't always easy to find space to talk about that.

I offer person-centred counselling in Congleton and online, for people who want somewhere to explore how this stage of life is affecting them emotionally. This means we cultivate an equal relationship: no one else can be the expert of your life but you. You lead the direction of each session.

When menopause counselling might help

Some people find this stage of life changes how they feel about themselves before it changes anything else: a dip in confidence, a shorter fuse, or a sense of not quite recognising who you've become. It can affect relationships, whether that's patience running thin at home or feeling less able to explain what's going on to the people around you. It can show up at work too, in confidence or concentration. None of this means something is wrong with you; it's a natural stage, but the emotional side of it deserves space of its own.

How counselling can help

Together we can explore the emotional side of menopause, whatever that looks like for you, whether that's low mood, anxiety, changes in identity or confidence, or the impact on relationships and work. Counselling isn't a medical treatment and doesn't replace advice from your GP about physical symptoms; it offers a space alongside that to be heard and to make sense of what you're experiencing.

Face-to-face and online sessions

Sessions take place face-to-face in Congleton or online, whichever feels more comfortable for you. Each session lasts one hour. I also offer a free 20-minute telephone or online consultation before we begin, so we can talk through what's bringing you to counselling and how we might work together.

Face-to-face sessions are £45, and online sessions are £40. You can find out more on my prices page.
