Counselling for Low Self-Esteem in Congleton

Do you find yourself doubting your own judgement, comparing yourself unfavourably to others, or struggling to recognise your own worth? Low self-esteem can affect how you see yourself, your relationships, and the choices you feel able to make in life.

I offer person-centred counselling in Congleton and online, for people who want to understand where these feelings come from and build a kinder relationship with themselves. This means we cultivate an equal relationship: no one else can be the expert of your life but you. You lead the direction of each session.

When counselling for self-esteem might help

Low self-esteem can be quiet and easy to overlook, showing up as a habit of putting yourself last, second-guessing decisions you'd trust anyone else to make, or brushing off compliments without thinking twice about it. It might mean staying quiet in situations where you have something to say, or feeling like you have to earn your place rather than simply belong. It doesn't have to trace back to one clear moment; sometimes it's just how things have always felt, and that's reason enough to want it to feel different.

How counselling can help with self-esteem and confidence

Together we can explore the patterns and experiences that may have shaped how you see yourself, and develop greater awareness of your own needs, values and boundaries. Counselling offers a safe, non-judgemental space to reconnect with your own voice and find your own sense of what matters to you.

Face-to-face and online sessions

Sessions take place face-to-face in Congleton or online, whichever feels more comfortable for you. Each session lasts one hour. I also offer a free 20-minute telephone or online consultation before we begin, so we can talk through what's bringing you to counselling and how we might work together.

Face-to-face sessions are £45, and online sessions are £40. You can find out more on my prices page.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Many people come to counselling simply because they want to understand themselves better or feel more confident, without any single event prompting it.

I can't promise a particular outcome, but counselling offers a space to understand what affects your self-esteem and to build your own sense of what you need, at your own pace.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Congleton or online, whichever suits you best. A free 20-minute consultation is available before you book.
